Observation Focused on Classroom Management

With the assistance of your cooperating teacher select a place to sit in the classroom that does not create a distraction but allows you to view the learning environment. Use the following chart to take simple notations and guide your observations. In the event your observation does not allow opportunities to watch the teacher address some of the issues, arrange an appointment so you can discuss these issues with him or her. A reflective summary of your observations, coupled with the supporting observation sheet/evidence is to be submitted in your field experience notebook.
