PROFFESIONAL TEACHING STANDARDS

North Carolina holds high expectations  for its educators.  With this in mind, Campbell University strives to provide every opportunity to immerse  you in the “reality” of the current teaching conditions within the public schools.  Teachers are required to follow several standards by which their performance is evaluated.  You are held to these same standards during your field experiences  within local schools.  University Supervisors and Clinical Teachers will evaluate your “capacity” to demonstrate these standards.  The following standards, including national, state and local, will be guiding standards throughout your program of study at Campbell.  Learn and apply them well.  To read more about each set of standards, click on each of the links below.

Campbell University Professional Education Department has selected to align with the national accreditor,
Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP).
