Parent Connections
(How to engage parents positively within the learning environment.)

Dealing with all stakeholders involved in the education of a child can become an overwhelming and difficult task. As stated many times, "It takes a village to raise a child," we know that these relationships must be developed positively to ensure the success of the students entrusted to us in the classroom.  Sometimes these relationships can become fragile as educators may be at odds with parents on best practices to teach the child.

In order to assist you in forming meaningful, positive and productive relationships, several sources are cited here as well as links to outside organizations which may provide invaluable resources to you.
Of course, other valuable resources are veteran teachers, administrators, parents and school leaders who walk the talk.
