CAMPBELL UNIVERSITY PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION
Becoming an educator begins with a passion for service: service to others through the talent and art of teaching. Campbell University's Professional Education Program is prepared to walk with you on this journey as you embrace this talent and begin learning the art and science of teaching. Campbell University's Teacher Education Program has a long history of producing excellent teachers and school leaders. Through a program based on "service" the professional educator candidate explores the teaching field through the lens of servant to students, parents, and the education field in general. It is often said erroneously, "Those who can't, teach." We know that it really is, "Those who can, Teach!" Our students enter our programs from many diverse backgrounds with a passion for teaching the future generation. This passion might be a direct experience they had with schooling such as struggling with learning or feeling disengaged in a classroom or becoming excited learning a new concept or skill. They "choose" to enter the teaching profession to encourage a love of learning which they discovered within themselves. |
The purpose of this site is threefold:
Our students indeed "paint futures with the orange advantage"!
- to provide the current teacher education student enrolled at Campbell University information about the Professional Education Program within the School of Education;
- to provide persons who may desire to discover how they might go about becoming a professional educator;
- to provide faculty and university supervisors and the clinical teachers critical information for the field experiences of students such as observation protocols, evaluation processes and documents, and field experience binder directions and rubrics.
Our students indeed "paint futures with the orange advantage"!
